1. The story behind the recipe

The Aperol Breeze is a specially created cocktail from Bartender Secrets. We now want to go into the ingredients of the cocktail in more detail and explain the background to you.

Aperol Spritz: The perfect aperitif this time of year

The Aperol Spritz's fruity aroma makes it perfect for this cocktail! The orange color also contributes positively to the autumnal appearance of the cocktail.

Passion fruit juice: the yin to the yang

Since Aperol is based on an orange aroma, we looked for a fruity addition. You can often get juice mixtures with an orange-passion fruit flavor in supermarkets. The aperitif Aperol Maracuja Spritz is also often offered in bars. And not without reason. These two flavors just go well together. So our choice fell relatively quickly on passion fruit juice.

Who brings momentum to the glass?

Of course, there is a little alcohol involved with the Aperol Spritz mixture. But this is about a cocktail and not an aperitif. So it's the bartender's duty to add a little oomph to the glass. Many cocktails experiment with different fruit liqueurs so that the end result is a truly real fruit bomb. However, since we already have two fruity ingredients in the glass, it wasn't easy to choose a clear spirit. Which spirit is known for its clear taste? Anyone can easily answer the question with “Vodka”. We chose Smirnoff Vodka because it has a rather gentle taste.

The sweet, autumnal aroma

So far we have a cocktail that is perfect to drink on a beautiful sunny terrace in summer. It was a given for us to add a pleasant, sweet taste for autumn. We chose the Monin Vanilla. It is a vanilla syrup that is ideal for mixing cocktails thanks to the clear processing of vanilla extracts. But why vanilla? We think you'll definitely find out by tasting the cocktail!

2. You need these utensils

Cocktail shakers and jiggers

The cocktail shaker is important for mixing the drink with ice. This creates the creamy, cloudy consistency of a cocktail. For this you can easily use a stainless steel cocktail shaker which, in addition to the jigger, you can also find in our cocktail starter sets . And what is a jigger? Jiggers are the small measuring cups that bartenders use at every bar to measure the ingredients. This is very important so that you don't accidentally add too much lime juice, for example, and the cocktail then contains too much acid.

Fancy cocktail glasses

Mix your own autumn cocktail

These glasses are perfect for cocktails of all kinds. On the one hand, the shape is good for keeping the cocktail cool and on the other hand, the shape is elegant and therefore ensures a great look.

3. You need these ingredients

We'll list all the ingredients you need for a cocktail:

  • 30 ml Vanilla Monin
  • 50 ml vodka
  • an Aperol Spritz ready mix
  • 60 ml passion fruit juice
  • Crushed ice and ice cubes

Please follow our recipe so you don't mix up the order of the ingredients.

4. Aperol Breeze recipe

  1. First you need a cocktail shaker. Fill this with 30 ml vanilla Monin, 50 ml vodka and 60 ml passion fruit juice. Now add ice cubes until the shaker is completely filled.
  2. Now shake with full energy for about 20 seconds!
  3. Now take your cocktail glass and fill it with crushed ice. Strain the liquid from the shaker into the glass without letting any ice from the shaker get into the cocktail glass.
